Where did the summer go?

Welcome back to the river ice photo blog.  We didn’t intend to take a summer break – it just happened that way.  Sunshine, sand, holidays… Well all that’s behind us now, as the frost is on the pumpkin and we’ll be seeing ice in the rivers in just a few weeks.

To get us started for this season – here’s another one of those amazing photos taken by graduate students Stefan Emmer, Jennifer Nafziger, and Vincent McFarlane on the Kananaskis River in Alberta.
